2-1-1 OPTION FOR NON-EMERGENCIES
"It's the number to call when you don't know who to call." 2-1-1 Central Valley is announcing that three-digit 2-1-1 dialing is now available county-wide. 2-1-1 is an easy to remember 3-digit phone number that offers information on the full range of human services that are non-emergency related in the community, including rent assistance, food banks, affordable housing, health resources, child care, elderly care, financial education, volunteering, job training programs, immigration assistance and much more.

AFRICAN/AFRICAN-AMERICAN HERITAGE CELEBRATION
Seminary students and faculty are invited to join in any of the following events for Black History Month at FPU.
Students, faculty and staff of FPU comes from many cultures. February is the month in which we will honor the history and culture of our African and African- American students. Throughout the month there will be a variety of activities celebrating these cultures, from films and dance to a College Hour on the history of African-American churches and more. We hope everyone will take time to attend some of the events and celebrate together. This is part of the nation-wide Black History Month. FRESNO INSTITUTE OF URBAN LEADERSHIP DESERT FUNDRAISER
You are cordially invited to a Dessert Fundraiser to benefit InterVarsity Christian Fellowship's Fresno Institute for Urban Leadership. Our organization transforms college students into life-long urban leaders who choose to move into our city's highest poverty neighborhoods and seek their common good.

ADORATION

LEADERSHIP TRAINING SEMINAR
The ALPHA Leadership Training Seminary will be held here in Central California in March 2008. ALPHA equips a team of leaders to introduce unchurched people and new Christians to a thoughtful understanding of faith and discipleship through a relaxed, caring community that combines learning and warm relationships. The program includes a fun fellowship meal, an interesting lecture on basic Christian faith, and small discussion groups.
