PRINCETON FORUMS ON YOUTH MINISTRY
January 7-10, 2008 in Nashville, TN. The era of Christendom is over and Christians throughout North America are wrestling with what it means to be the church today. The 2008 Princeton Forums on Youth Ministry will explore the implications of Acts 1:8 for the church and for youth ministry, examining what it means to bear witness to Christ beyond the walls of the traditional church. Missional theology and missional models of church will be unpacked, along with their practical implications for the ways we engage in ministry with young people. WINE AND CHEESE, FILM AND DISCUSSION
The next in this series of Wine and Cheese, Film and Discussion evenings will be a showing of another aware-winning documentary, called "I Remember Me", 'the first full-length documentary to explore the controversial and mysterious history of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, an illness that, according to the CDC, is now forty time greater in prevalence than previously estimated. Post-film discussion will focus on clinical issues in working with people who have CFS and Fibromyalgia with Author of "The Feel Good Guide to Fibromyalgia: A Comprehensive Resource for Recovery", Lynette Bassman, PH.D. RANDALL BUTH LECTURE
November 29th at 12:45 - 1:50, in the AIMS building #114. "How Learning with the Rabbis Helped Me Better Understand Jesus". Dr. Randall Buth (PhD, Semitic Languages, UCLA 1987) spent 20 years in Africa working in Bible translation. He now lives in Jerusalem, Israel, where he is the founder/director of the Biblical Language Center and occasional adjunct lecturer at the Hebrew University. He is published in the fields of Old and New Testament exegesis, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek studies, Bible translation, Synoptic Gospels, and more. Dr. Buth will be sharing some of the fruit of these study sessions over the last thirty years.

Nickel and Dimed by Joan Holden (based on the book by Barbara Ehrenreich. 8pm at the Ashley Auditorium on Thursday, Nov. 15th.
Brief Synopsis: Barbara Ehrenreich leaves her comfortable, middle-class life to 'research' life as one of the working poor. $5 students, $8 general. Reserved tickets must be picked up at least 15 minutes before performance. At 7:45, all unpaid reserved tickets will go on sale. Tickets available at the door. The book office will be open 45 minutes before the performance.

SEMINAR ON FORGIVENESS
"Unwrapping the Gift of Forgiveness" will be held on Saturday, November 10th from 9 am to 5 pm at Fresno Friends Community Church. PROTECTING THE HOME OF THE RESPLENDENT QUETZAL
Sunday, November 11 at 3pm in FPU's Steinert Campus Center, room 103. This lecture titled "Protecting the Home of the Resplendent Quetzal: conservation through community development" will be presented by MCC Quatemala service workers. THE FULLER SYMPOSIUM
The Fuller Symposium on the Integration of Psychology and Theology for February 20-23, 2008. The symposium is an academic gathering place in which integration can be tackled on an intellectual level. Students are given the opportunity to learn from scholars in many fields concerning the various intersections of theology and psychology. Speakers will include Mark McMinn, Keith meador, Marsha Linehan, William Miller and LeRon Shults.
Plans are already being made. Please let David Rose know if you are interested in attending all or part of the Fuller Symposium. We plan to carpool with MBBS and FPU faculty and students. However, housing is limited so we want to make reservations as soon as possible.
